Secretary Message
Dr. Shailesh Kumar - Secretary, Nirmala Devi Educational Trust
Dear Friends,
As we step into a new year, it gives me immense pleasure to present the Nirmala Devi Educational Trust Annual Report for 2021-22. This report offers a glimpse into our journey of achievements and milestones accomplished through collective dedication and synergy. Empowering young tribal girls through education and nursing training is at the heart of our mission. As we continue our development efforts, it remains our responsibility to ensure that these girls are not left behind. Providing them with the right environment and opportunities is essential.
The year 2021-22 has been one of significant accomplishments. Through collaborative efforts, we successfully implemented five major projects, directly impacting over 500 young tribal girls and youth via training programs and services. Our capacity to manage multiple initiatives has grown, thanks to our dedicated team. Among our major developments are the establishment of a 100-bed hospital, B.Sc. Nursing College, Pharmacy College and ANM & GNM College.
To enhance field knowledge and expertise, our staff undergoes continuous training through workshops and specialized programs. In Khunti, we initiated new projects aimed at reducing the need for tribal girls to migrate out-of-state for nursing education. The result is the establishment of the well-equipped Imperial College of Nursing, offering the B.Sc. Nursing program since 2021.
This year, we gained valuable international exposure by participating in global conferences on the development of tribal girls in Brazil and Geneva. We shared our experiences and insights in nursing education and community service, earning recognition and fostering global partnerships. None of these achievements would have been possible without the unwavering support of our partners, donors, government officials, and board members. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our frontline workers, collaborators, and supporters. Let us continue to move forward with unity and purpose.
With warm regards,
Dr. Shailesh Kumar
Secretary
Nirmala Devi Educational Trust
